Kam Yee

Kam Yee has over a decade of experience in K-12 and community outreach in aerospace science. She is currently a Research and Evaluation Assistant at Data2insight, a data science consultant firm. Kam loves creating innovative ways to incorporate space into education programs to promote scientific literacy. Over the course of her career she has worked to remove barriers for girls and women to succeed in science and technical fields. Kam’s formal education includes a Master of Science in Space Studies from the University of North Dakota. Her master’s thesis research studied STEM education for girls of color. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at the University of Washington, Bothell, with a focus on Science, Technology, and the Environment, and a minor in Human Rights. As an immigrant and first-generation college student, she is a strong advocate for youth to achieve their dreams through science, technology, engineering, math and medicine.
