Brett Eckstein

Brett Eckstein is the Executive Director of Tire Stewardship Manitoba (TSM), a not-for-profit industry association formed to operate a scrap tire recycling program on behalf of tire retailers in Manitoba. Brett has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Economics and a Master of Arts degree in International Relations and Canadian Government from the University of Manitoba, as well as a Master of Science degree in Space Studies from the University of North Dakota. Upon graduation, he worked as an aerospace consultant and later served as a Senior Analyst for Manitoba Executive Council’s Policy Management Secretariat and the Sustainable Development Co-ordination Unit. Brett joined the Pollution Prevention Branch of Manitoba Conservation in 2000 and was responsible for the development and implementation of "Manitoba's Sustainable Development Procurement Guidelines"; and worked on the province’s Green Strategy Initiatives at Green Manitoba before joining TSM in 2008.
