Tate Few
Tate Few received his M.S. in Space Studies in 2023, in which he defended his thesis on the delegation of authority for space debris regulations from Congress to the Department of Commerce Office of Space Commerce. Tate went on to attend the University of South Carolina School of Law in order to pursue a career in the realm of space law. Tate is currently the Executive Director and Founder of the Space Debris Foundation (fmr. Sentinel Aerospace), a non-profit organization that focuses on (1) advocating for regulations that promote orbital sustainability and responsible stewardship, (2) educating the general public on the importance of space and its benefits to society, (3) utilizing and collecting SSA data for collision risk assessment, and (4) researching technical solutions to space debris recycling and repurposing to build additional technologies for use in underserved communities.
Tate's prior education includes a B.A. in Intelligence and National Security Studies, where he researched the development of space into a warfighting domain for STRATCOM, in addition to researching the approach of NASA and Roscosmos in utilizing the private sector for space operations. Tate has previously worked as a Critical Mission Center Director for the European Intelligence Academy and as a Legislative Assistant in the South Carolina State House. Tate has the desire to work for the U.S. government, upon graduation from law school, in the field of regulatory compliance or public policy, and wants to run for political office.
