Christopher Gainor

Since graduating from the UND Space Studies program, Chris Gainor has earned a Ph.D. in the history of technology from the University of Alberta. He has published four books on the history of space exploration and aviation, and he is in the process of completing his fifth book, which covers the beginnings of America's intercontinental ballistic missile programs. Since 2014, Chris has been writing a history of Hubble Space Telescope operations under a contract with NASA. Chris is editor of Quest: The History of Spaceflight Quarterly, and he is First Vice President of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. He resides in Victoria, B.C., Canada.
