Amanda Deng
Amanda Deng is a manufacturing engineer for Blue Origin. Graduated from the Ohio State university Aerospace Engineering, she began her career working at Edwards AFB testing F-16 JHMCS (joint helmet mounted cueing system) where she obtained experiences working with the life support shop and pilots on human factors. Since then she had been in manufacturing engineering for ablative rocket nozzles, hybrid rockets on the SpaceshipTwo and the Dream Chaser for Sierra Nevada corporation. Amanda's specialties are in composite material fabrication and research, as well as vehicle integration. Outside of work she has participated in a few Burt Rutan Canard airplane homebuilt projects and prefers hands on work over theory. Amanda has always been passionate about manned space flight and she is excited to join the space studies program to research and develop technologies that contribute to this mission.
