
Rachel Jones
Rachel is a Ph.D. student in the Aerospace Sciences program. She is a cyber analyst for operational technologies at a National Laboratory. Rachel’s primary research interests are in the cybersecurity of operational technologies, space studies, and emerging wireless technologies. Rachel supports an interdisciplinary background with four additional degrees. She has a master of science degree in Space Management from the International Space University and a master of arts degree in Intelligence focusing on cyber from the American Military University. She also has a bachelor of art degree in Political Science from LaGrange College and an undergraduate bachelor of science degree in Computer Networks and Cybersecurity from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
Rachel and her amazing husband, Chris, spend their free time with their fur babies and supporting youth STEM outreach. Rachel is the Aerospace Education Officer at her local Civil Air Patrol and mentors Air Force Association Cyber Patriot teams. Rachel is also a private pilot, master scuba diver, and is active in amateur radio.
